It is suitable for the evaluation of material susceptible to hydrogen embrittlement or the evaluation of hydrogen content in metal. As this Hydrogen diffuses at room temperature, it is called a diffusible Hydrogen. Hydrogen embrittlement is caused by a very small amount of diffusible Hydrogen in the order of ppm.
